It was back in November that I was contacted to photograph the engagement session for this lovely couple. Firstly it felt great because they contacted me because I was recommended by a previous couple I worked with. Moving on from that, Anastasia explained that they would be flying in just before the new year and would like to shoot in early January. We kept in touch and she shared ideas of what she liked and what she would like to do. She was a darling to go through the details with. Very down to earth lady. I enjoyed my interactions with her.
Location was chosen and all was set until I noticed the lovely couple had gone to a different location. While this could be seen as crazy since it wasn’t planned, it may have been one of the best things to happen. The original location was good but their accident lead to a great location. We ended up at Sam Lord’s Castle.
Currently this facility is under construction and there are lots of signs of detours and no entries, however, we were able to make our way down to the beach.
As a couple they were a joy to capture. I didn’t want this to be a posed session, I really wanted them to be themselves and I just catch them sharing their moments together and for them, that was easy. Very comfortable with each other.
Roy, Roy Roy, this dude is cool, I would need the Captain America Super Soldier serum to look like him.
We had a blast walking around this historical site and had fun capturing moments for this awesome couple.
